We already know that Liam Hemsworth is a fan of his fiancée’s drastic cut, and now Cyrus has the approval of the other man in her life.

Dad Billy Ray Cyrus recently revealed to Access Hollywood, “I love the new ‘do. She looks so pretty.” But it’s not just that Billy Ray likes the look of her edgy bleach blonde pixie cut – he’s also really proud of his daughter’s bold makeover.

He praised Miley, who took a lot of flak for chopping her hair, for being an individual. “I’m proud of her,” Billy Ray said, even using a line from President Bill Clinton’s DNC speech to describe his daughter: “As President Clinton would say, to have that much ‘brass’ to step up and say ‘I’m gonna totally re-do my image’? Wow. [She's] carrying the brass for the Cyrus family!”

The pop star ditched her long locks last month and quickly went on the defensive about her decision, Tweeting, “if you don’t have something nice to say don’t say anything at all.” But despite some negative reactions (79 percent of StyleWatch readers voted that they preferred her pre-cut, and many people took to Twitter to dis her makeover), it’s clear that her dad is totally thrilled with the change.
