Pop princess Miley Cyrus has stepped firmly out of her realm by covering Bob Dylan‘s “You’re Gonna Make Me Lonesome When You Go” from his 1975 album Blood On The Tracks.

The track is part of a monster four-disc set of Dylan covers entitled Chimes Of Freedom: Songs of Bob Dylan Honoring 50 Years of Amnesty International with renditions coming from artists such as Maroon 5, Adele and Ke$ha.

Miley Cyrus sticks true to the vibe of Dylan with a soulful and stripped back version of the song, which includes fellow musician Johnzo West.

The video shows Miley Cyrus in a different light to what her fans are probably used to, with the Nashville singer much more akin to the gloss and glamour of tracks such as “Party In The U.S.A.” (2,566,406 scrobbles) and “The Climb” (1,653,511 scrobbles).

“Party In The U.S.A.” comes from her debut 2009 EP release The Time Of Our Lives – scrobbled 2,853,204 times. Her latest album is 2010′s Can’t Be Tamed. Scrobbled 4,941,904 times, the title track has seen 1,521,828 scrobbles alone.
